The Original Legacy Book Legacy Books was founded in 1997. Today, John and Barbara Catron continue to help people preserve their histories and memories with these beautiful, enduring books. Before she and her husband took over the company, Barbara had just ­completed her first book as a labor of love. The book was created for an elderly ­relative, documenting the life of her only child who died as a young woman. The book had such an uplifting impact on the mother that the last months of her life were filled with more comfort and happiness than she had enjoyed for many years. Some family members expressed their feeling that the satisfaction of having the book added several months to her life.
